Express Bus Services Trialed to Chiang Mai and Phuket

Phuket, Thailand –

In a bid to enhance long-distance public transport efficiency, Thailand’s Transport Company Limited (BorKorSor) has rolled out two new express bus routes connecting Bangkok to Chiang Mai and Phuket. The pilot program, which runs until March 8th, 2026, aims to reduce travel time and improve passenger convenience through streamlined services and onboard amenities.

According to Mr. Attawit Rakjamroon, President of Transport Co., the express service minimizes intermediate stops and replaces traditional meal breaks with onboard food service. This adjustment alone trims travel time by approximately 1 to 1.5 hours compared to standard routes.
