Phuket Airport to Conduct Emergency Preparedness Drill

Phuket –

Phuket International Airport has announced plans to conduct a full-scale emergency drill this Friday, September 5th, 2025, at 9:00 a.m., as part of its ongoing commitment to safety and operational readiness.

The exercise, officially titled the Airport Contingency Plan, is designed to test the airport’s emergency response protocols and ensure that personnel are well-prepared to handle crisis situations. Airport officials told The Phuket Express that the drill is purely a simulation and poses no threat to passengers or operations.

“We want to reassure all travelers and service users that this is a scheduled drill aimed at enhancing our safety standards,” the airport said in a statement. “Your cooperation is appreciated as we work to maintain the highest level of preparedness.”

During the exercise, passengers are kindly asked to refrain from taking photos or videos to prevent confusion or the spread of misinformation. The airport has apologized in advance for any inconvenience caused and thanked the public for their understanding.
