An Uzbekistan man was swiftly apprehended by the Cherng Talay Police after driving dangerously in front of a convenience store in Bang Tao, alarming nearby residents and bringing immediate law enforcement action.
The Cherng Talay Police told the Phuket Express that the incident last week was captured on a video and first shared by local Facebook news page Newshawk Phuket, which shows a male tourist operating a silver ISUZU D-Max pickup truck erratically in the parking lot of a 7-Eleven store located on Bang Tao–Surin Beach Road, Thalang. The footage quickly went viral, sparking public concern over safety in the area.

Police were quickly dispatched to the scene. Officers successfully intercepted the vehicle and identified the driver as a 28-year-old man from Uzbekistan. The vehicle was seized on-site, and a formal report was filed. The suspect was summoned to Cherng Talay Police Station to acknowledge the charges and enter legal proceedings in accordance with Thai law.
