15 Year-Old Boy Arrested in Rawai with 56 Meth Pills

Officers arrested a 15 year old boy with 56 methamphetamine pills seized in Rawai.

Officers told the Phuket Express that over the past weekend they conducted patrols in the Sea Gypsy Village of Rawai, scanning for drug dealers and addicts.

The patrol successfully apprehended a 15-year-old male resident of Rawai, found in possession of 56 methamphetamine tablets (commonly known as “ya ba”).

Charges brought against the minor included unauthorized possession of a Category 1 narcotic with intent to distribute and consumption of methamphetamine, both in violation of Thai narcotics law.

The arrest took place along an inner footpath in Moo 2 of Rawai’s Sea Gypsy Village. Authorities promptly transferred the suspect and the seized narcotics to the local investigating officer for formal prosecution.
