Upon realizing the presence of authorities, the driver suddenly accelerated in an apparent attempt to flee the scene. Officers quickly pursued the vehicle through the Kathu area and successfully intercepted it on Chao Fa Mine Road.

The suspect, identified only as Mr. Basil, a Nigerian national, was found in possession of 73.31 grams of cocaine, a Category 2 narcotic under Thai law. Officers discovered the drugs hidden inside the vehicle during a search following the arrest.
