Uzbek Man Arrested for Allegedly Assaulting and Robbing Girlfriend in Phuket

Wichit –

A 41-year-old man from Uzbekistan was arrested by Thai authorities in Wichit following an alleged assault and theft involving his girlfriend.

The Wichit Police told the Phuket Express that the incident occurred this week inside a condominium, where the suspect—identified only as Mr. Artur—reportedly attacked his partner and stole her belongings.

Among the stolen items were cash, a mobile phone, and a motorcycle. After fleeing the scene, Mr. Artur was tracked down to Soi Na Seua, Village 4, also within Wichit.

Following an investigation, local police from Wichit Police Station gathered sufficient evidence to obtain an arrest warrant from Phuket Provincial Court, which was approved on July 15.

The arrest was executed by an investigation team, who apprehended Mr. Artur at the location mentioned in the warrant. Officers recovered the stolen motorcycle as part of the operation.

Mr. Artur faces three criminal charges which are nighttime theft, property damage, and assault causing physical and emotional harm. He is currently in police custody pending formal legal proceedings. He did not immediately release a statement to the press or a plea to the charges.
