“Charm of Nakhon” Roadshow Showcases Cultural Treasures in Phuket

Phuket –

In a celebration of southern Thailand’s heritage, Nakhon Si Thammarat province launched its “Charm of Nakhon” Roadshow this week, bringing a rich tapestry of local tourism, cuisine, and crafts to Phuket. The event, held from July 10 to 12, 2025 at Robinson Lifestyle Thalang, aims to strengthen tourism ties between the two provinces and highlight Nakhon Si Thammarat’s unique identity.

The Roadshow was officially opened on July 10 by Mrs. Wajiraporn Amatayakul, Deputy Governor of Nakhon Si Thammarat.

The event also saw participation from senior tourism officials including Mr. Nattharin Wongpirapat, Nakhon Si Thammarat’s Tourism and Sports Officer, alongside representatives from Phuket’s tourism sector and the Tourism Authority of Thailand.

Organized under the “Nakhon Tourism Brands” development project by the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, the Roadshow promotes high-quality tourism products — from accommodation and food to community-based experiences and cultural souvenirs. The goal is to expand market access, enhance local branding, and connect with Phuket’s international tourist base.

Visitors are treated to over 40 booths showcasing:

  • Traditional delicacies like Kiriwong mangosteen, Mangosteen salad, and Khanom La (crispy rice flour snacks)

  • Handcrafted silverware and renowned Niello (Krueang Thom) products

  • Regional beverages, authentic southern cuisine, and experiential tourism package

These exhibits reflect the soul of Nakhon Si Thammarat — a province rich in tradition, craftsmanship, and natural beauty.

Locals and tourists alike are encouraged to visit the Roadshow, explore the cultural richness of Nakhon Si Thammarat, and take home a piece of southern Thailand’s charm.
