Phuket—

Authorities in Patong have arrested two individuals—a Swedish national and a Thai woman—in connection with cocaine trafficking.

Patong Police told the Phuket Express that the suspects are a 41-year-old Swedish man and a 32-year-old Thai woman. Police seized the following evidence:

• 15.37 grams of cocaine
• 80 resealable plastic bags typically used for drug distribution
• 1 digital scale
• 1 yellow MG5 automobile
• 2 iPhones

The pair are facing charges for jointly possessing and distributing a Category 2 narcotic (cocaine) without authorization.

The arrest took place outside a convenience store on Ratchapatanusorn Road in Patong, and was extended to a condominium unit in Soi Samakkhi 2, Rawai.

Both suspects, along with the confiscated items, have been handed over to investigators at Patong Police Station for further legal proceedings.
