Iranian Nationals Nabbed for Shoe Theft in Patong

Patong –

Local authorities in Patong, Phuket apprehended two Iranian nationals in connection with a curious case of theft—a stolen pair of sneakers.

The Patong Police told the Phuket Express that they tracked down the alleged culprits. Evidence seized was one pair of black Adidas shoes with red stripes and a Honda Click motorcycle allegedly used in the crime. The suspects, aged 26 and 30, were caught at a secondhand shoe store along Phang Muang Sai Kor Road and later at Room 505 of a nearby hotel in Patong.

According to authorities, the pair are accused of “jointly committing theft using a vehicle to facilitate the offense, evade capture, or dispose of stolen goods.” Both were promptly taken into custody and handed over to investigators for further legal proceedings.

While the case may seem minor, it underlines the vigilance of local law enforcement in maintaining order in a major tourist hub. Phuket may be famous for its beaches—but this time, it made headlines over a stolen pair of shoes.
