Uzbek Woman Arrested for Operating Unauthorized Beauty Clinic in Phuket

Phuket –

In a coordinated crackdown between immigration officials and local law enforcement, a 28-year-old woman from Uzbekistan was arrested for allegedly operating an illegal cosmetic clinic in the heart of Phuket without proper authorization.

Led by Phuket Immigration and involving officers from Phuket Provincial Police, Chalong Police Station, and the Provincial Public Health Office, the team executed a court-approved search warrant on a suspected commercial building posing as a beauty enhancement clinic.

Inside, officers arrested a foreign woman identified only as Ms. Maftuna, a national of Uzbekistan, on multiple charges:

  • Operating a medical clinic without a license
  • Importing and using medical equipment without proper registration
  • Working without legal authorization as a foreign national

A large quantity of medical tools and supplies was seized at the scene. Ms. Maftuna reportedly confessed to all charges, and authorities made a formal record of the arrest before transferring her to investigation officers for legal proceedings.
