Phuket —

In a late-night operation this week police officers from Phuket City Police Station intercepted a group of youths loitering along Si Suthat Road in Phuket Town amid rising concerns about illegal street racing and public disturbances.

The Phuket City Police told the Phuket Express that they conducted a thorough inspection of the area. Their intervention led to the seizure of four illegally modified motorcycles and the arrest of four individuals carrying knives in a public space.

Authorities also registered eight other individuals as part of a risk group for further monitoring. All detained youths were transferred to the Phuket City Police Station for legal proceedings.

The police have appealed to parents and guardians to closely monitor their children’s behavior and discourage them from participating in dangerous or disruptive activities. Citizens are also urged to report any information related to planned street races or gatherings by contacting the emergency line at 191 or reaching out directly to Phuket City Police.
