Phuket Pride Parade 2025: Celebrating Equality and Diversity

Phuket – On Sunday (June 8th), despite the evening drizzle, the spirit of inclusivity and celebration illuminated the streets of Patong as the Phuket Pride Parade 2025 unfolded in full force. The annual event marked yet another milestone in the province’s commitment to equality, diversity, and human rights.

Under the theme “Be You, Be Equality”, this year’s festivities took place from June 2–8, culminating in the grand parade that began at 5:00 PM. The colorful procession moved through the lively streets of Patong, traveling down Ratchapathanuk Road before making its way through Bangla Walking Street—one of Phuket’s most iconic nightlife hubs—before concluding at Jungceylon Shopping Center.

Neither rain nor wind could dampen the energy of the event, as crowds of participants—including members of the LGBTQIAN+ community, local and international visitors, artists, and performers—marched with enthusiasm. Spectators cheered alongside dazzling cultural performances, adding to the electric atmosphere of acceptance and unity.

The festivities featured spectacular entertainment, and interactive stage activities designed to bring together individuals from all walks of life. Participants unanimously agreed that no amount of rain could wash away the spirit of love, equality, and hope that radiated throughout the event.

In a step toward greater international recognition, Phuket has announced its bid to host the InterPride Virtual General Meeting & World Conference 2026, further establishing itself as a global beacon of inclusivity.

Moreover, the Thai government hopes that such events will boost Rainbow Tourism, attracting over four million LGBTQIAN+ travelers annually, generating an estimated 65 million THB in revenue while aligning with the nation’s commitment to sustainable, value-driven tourism.

As Phuket Pride Festival 2025 drew to a close, one undeniable truth remained: It was a powerful reflection of a city that embraces diversity, honors human dignity, and stands united in pride.
