Two Women Injured After Motorcycle Plunges into Ravine in Patong

Phuket –

Two women sustained injuries after their motorcycle lost control and plunged into a ravine over 10 meters deep in Patong. The incident occurred along a steep curve on Muang Ngam Road.

The Patong Police told the Phuket Express that at 1:34 P.M., Pol. Lt. Chan Narong Prakongkuea of the Patong Police Station received a report from the local emergency dispatch center regarding the accident. Rescue workers rushed to the scene, where they discovered a motorcycle lodged at the bottom of the ravine.

The victims were identified as Ms. Inthira, 22, who was driving the motorcycle, and Mrs. Pathumtip, 41, who was her passenger. Neither was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.

According to initial reports, the pair had been returning from a relative’s home near the hillside behind Baan Yin Dee Hotel. As they navigated the steep downhill curve, Ms. Inthira lost control of the motorcycle, causing it to skid off the road and strike a barrier before plunging into the ravine.

Emergency responders provided first aid to the injured women before transporting them to Patong Hospital. Ms. Inthira suffered minor injuries, including cuts near her mouth, but remained conscious throughout the ordeal. Rescue teams later retrieved the motorcycle from the ravine.
