A femal foreigner was arrested in Thalang for alledged protitution.
The Phuket Tourist Police told the Phuket Express that earlier this week they arrested a foreign woman on charges of engaging in illegal prostitution, under Thailand’s Prevention and Suppression of Prostitution Act.
The suspect was apprehended for “Soliciting, inducing, or harassing individuals on public roads or elsewhere for the purpose of prostitution.” The operation took place in Cherngtalay, as part of a broader crackdown on crimes affecting tourism and illegal activities by foreigners, conducted from May 15 to May 22, 2025.
During the arrest, authorities seized evidence including banknotes used in a sting operation and condoms found in the suspect’s personal bag. The suspect was taken into custody and faces charges under the aforementioned act.
