Moroccan and Myanmar Nationals Arrested for Illegally Working at Patong Restaurant

Police have intensified efforts to combat illegal employment, leading to the arrest of a Moroccan and five Myanmar working without proper work permits at a restaurant near Patong Beach.

The Patong Police told the Phuket Express that on Tuesday (May 13th) they conducted a raid at a restaurant on the Thaweewong Road, a bustling area in Patong Beach, where many businesses cater to tourists.

They arrested five Myanmar nationals and one Moroccan national, all of whom were found engaged in employment without the required work authorization. The suspects have since been handed over to Patong Police investigators for legal proceedings.
