Australian Man Arrested at Phuket Airport on Assault Charges on Pha Ngan Island

Phuket authorities, in collaboration with the Koh Pha Ngan police, arrested a 30-year-old Australian man at Phuket International Airport on May 13th, 2025, in connection with an assault case.

Phuket Immigration told the Phuket Express that the suspect had been wanted under an arrest warrant for allegedly assaulting another individual, causing physical or psychological harm, and damaging property. Authorities apprehended him at the international departure hall of Phuket Airport.

Following the arrest, the suspect was handed over to investigators at Koh Phangan Police Station in Surat Thani, for further legal proceedings. The suspect did not release any statement as of the press time. Officers did not provide more details about the case.
