UPDATE: Ukrainian Woman Arrested Again in Phuket After Missing Court Appearance for Rental Property Damages

Phuket-

Phuket police have again apprehended a Ukrainian woman who allegedly fled after being charged with causing extensive damage to a rented condominium unit in Wichit.

Our previous stories:

A Phuket condo owner was left in disbelief after discovering extensive damage to their rental unit, allegedly caused by a Ukrainian tenant. The aftermath revealed a severely vandalized space, leaving behind destruction estimated at 350,000 baht in damages.

Authorities in Phuket have apprehended a 20-year-old Ukrainian woman, Mrs. Anastasia, at Phuket International Airport following her involvement in a property destruction incident at a condominium.

Update:

Phuket Immigration told the Phuket Express that during the initial investigation, Anastasia confessed to the allegations, leading to formal charges of property damage. However, since the arrest took place on a public holiday, authorities granted her temporary release and scheduled her court hearing for later. Instead of attending, Anastasia failed to appear, prompting investigators to seek an arrest warrant from the Phuket Provincial Court.

With the arrest warrant in hand, the Wichit Police investigation team pursued leads to locate the suspect. After an intensive search, police tracked her down at a luxury condominium in Wichit on May 13th. She was immediately taken into custody and transferred to court.

Following legal procedures, the court ruled to detain Anastasia while conducting further investigations, citing concerns over her previous attempt to evade authorities. She remains in custody as legal proceedings move forward.
