The Cherng Talay Police told the Phuket Express that the incident occurred at approximately 4:00 AM when officers from Cherng Talay Police Station were alerted to a stabbing outside an entertainment venue. Upon arrival, they found the victim, identified only as French national Mr. Kaleche, lying on the ground with three stab wounds—one in his lower left waist and two on his back.

Investigators reported that the attack stemmed from a physical altercation inside the bar between the victim and a group of four foreign men who spoke English. The conflict spilled outside, where the group reportedly assaulted Mr. Kaleche before one individual drew a knife and stabbed him. The attackers then fled the scene in a gray sedan , though its province of registration remains unknown.

Police have begun analyzing CCTV footage to track the suspects’ movements and determine their identities. Authorities urge witnesses or individuals with information to come forward, assisting in the ongoing investigation to ensure justice and maintain the safety of tourists in Phuket.
