Polish Man Found Dead Off Kamala Beach, Drowning Suspected

Phuket –

Authorities in Phuket are investigating the death of a Polish tourist whose body was discovered floating in the sea near Kamala Beach earlier on Thursday (May 8th).

Emergency responders told the Phuket Express that they received a report from Patong Hospital confirming that a man had been pronounced dead after being retrieved from the sea off Kamala Beach. The deceased, identified only as 36-year-old Polish man had arrived in Phuket with two companions but had gone swimming alone prior to the discovery.

A good Samaritan spotted the man’s lifeless body drifting in the water and alerted rescue teams. He was brought ashore and transported to Patong Hospital by a local foundation.

Medical officials confirmed that the cause of death was drowning, with no visible signs of physical assault. Initial inquiries indicate that the victim’s friends are working to contact the Polish Embassy in Thailand and his family to facilitate arrangements for repatriating his remains.

Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident, but preliminary assessments suggest that no foul play was involved.
