Wanted Australian in Phuket Arrested at Airport for Robbery Charges

Phuket –

The Thai Immigration authorities apprehended an Australian national upon his arrival at Suvarnabhumi International Airport, following an active arrest warrant issued by the Phuket Provincial Court. The suspect, identified only as Mr. Mc (alias), was detained after biometric screening flagged him as a prohibited individual under Thailand’s immigration regulations.

According to relevant officials, Mr. Mc arrived in Thailand from Bali and was scheduled to continue his journey to Phuket. However, immigration officers intercepted him after discovering his status as a wanted individual. The Phuket Provincial Court had issued an arrest warrant on May 2, 2025, citing charges of robbery with or using a firearm and using a vehicle to commit an offense.

Authorities at first attempted to contact the lead investigator in the case, but after unsuccessful attempts, coordination was made with Chalong Police who confirmed the validity of the warrant. The Crime Suppression Division of Immigration Bureau Division 2 then executed the arrest.

The operation was carried out smoothly, with no reported resistance from the suspect. Following his detention, Mr. Mc was handed over to the relevant law enforcement agencies for further legal proceedings.
