Kamala –

A crime suppression checkpoint conducted by Kamala Police Station led to the arrest of an American national found in possession of Methylphenidate.

The Kamala Police told the Phuket Express that they intensified efforts to crack down on criminal activity through systematic inspections. On Sunday (May 4th), during one such operation, authorities intercepted a motorcycle rider without a license plate.

The rider, identified as Mr. Chase, a 27-year-old U.S. citizen, exhibited signs of nervous behavior, prompting officers to conduct a thorough search. Investigators discovered five tablets of Methylphenidate, classified as a Category 2 controlled substance, hidden inside his shoulder bag.

He was taken to the Kamala Police Station to face charge with unauthorized possession of a controlled substance under Thai law.
