Power Poles Fall after Sedan Crash in Kathu

Kathu –

Two power poles were brought down after a sedan crashed in Kathu.

The Kathu Police told the Phuket Express that they were notified of the accident on Saturday (May 3rd) on the Kathu – Na Koh Road near the Phuket Mining Museum. The sedan hit a power pole where the first one was brought down and then pulled down the second power pole. The two power poles blocked the road on both lanes.

The 40-year-old Thai female driver sustained minor injuries. An alcohol breath test was conducted on her which showed zero. She told police that it was raining and the road was wet and she lost control of the vehicle before slamming into the power pole. The road was blocked for eight hours while power poles were fixed as the area suffered from power outages. The driver was not identified by name by police.
