Province officials have confirmed the occurrence of a minor earthquake measuring 1.9 in magnitude at a depth of 2 kilometers. The tremor, which was detected in Koh Yao, has prompted local authorities to monitor the situation closely.

According to initial assessments by municipal leaders, local administrators, and volunteer responders, no noticeable tremors were felt, and there have been no reports of damage to life or property. Despite the lack of immediate impact, officials have urged community leaders to keep residents informed and vigilant for any potential aftershocks.
