Phuket –
A Polish tourist tragically fell to his death from a condominium balcony in Patong during the early hours of May 3, 2025. Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the fatal incident.
The Patong Police told the Phuket Express that they received a report of a foreign national who had fallen from a building on the Phra Metta Road. Officers from Patong Police Station, forensic doctors from the Vachira Phuket Hospital, and forensic evidence specialists arrived quickly at the scene.
The victim, identified only as 34-year-old Polish national Mr. Swaromi, was found face-down near the condo wall, showing no signs of life. His wife, who was present at the scene, provided details of the events leading up to the fall, according to her.
According to her statement, the couple had been staying at a nearby hotel and had spent the evening drinking alcohol on the balcony of their temporary accommodation. Moments before the incident, the victim stood up but lost his balance, plummeting from the balcony to the ground below.
Authorities have transported his body to Vachira Phuket Hospital for further autopsy to determine the exact cause of death. Police will also partner with the Polish embassy to manage necessary procedures for repatriating the body, allowing his family to conduct religious rites in his homeland.
Investigations remain ongoing to establish if other contributing factors played a role in the fatal fall.
A similar situation involving an Australian tourist took place only a few days prior in Patong, notes The Phuket Express, as we covered here.
