Karon –

An unidentified body of a male foreigner was found partially clothed along the shores of Karon Beach on Saturday (April 26th).

At approximately 5:50 A.M. the Karon Police received a report from the local emergency response center that a beach vendor had discovered the body of a foreign man floating near the shoreline. The incident occurred in front of a hotel in Karon, prompting an immediate response from law enforcement and forensic specialists.

Upon arrival, police and rescue teams found the body of an unidentified male, estimated to be around 60 to 70 years old. He was wearing a black round-neck T-shirt but no trousers. A Myanmar national, identified as Mr. Saw Oo, aged 42, was the first to spot the body and reported the sighting. He informed authorities that he noticed the man’s remains being carried by the waves along the beachfront before the body was retrieved.

A preliminary forensic examination conducted at the scene found no visible wounds on the body, apart from minor abrasions likely caused by the strong currents and sand. Authorities estimate that the man had been deceased for approximately three to four hours before his body was found. No identification documents or personal belongings were discovered on him, leaving his identity and nationality unknown.

Police have transported the body to Vachira Phuket Hospital for a more thorough autopsy to determine the exact cause of death. They are also coordinating with nearby police stations to check for any missing persons reports that could aid in identifying the individual.

Authorities urge anyone with relevant information to come forward as they work to uncover the circumstances surrounding this tragic incident.
