Man Drowns at Laem Sing Viewpoint in Kamala

Kamala –

A drowning incident occurred at Laem Sing Viewpoint when a young man lost his life after slipping into the sea while fishing with friends on Thursday (April 24th).

The Kamala Police told the Phuket Express that the victim, identified only as Mr. Abdullah, 29, was a resident of Yala. The Kamala Rescue personnel revealed that emergency responders received a distress call reporting a drowning incident at the tip of Laem Sing, near the border between Laem Sing Viewpoint and Surin Beach.

Mr. Abdullah had been fishing with two companions when he slipped on the rocks and fell into the water. When one friend managed to climb out safely, he immediately sought help from lifeguards stationed nearby at Surin Beach.

Lifeguards swiftly responded, deploying a jet ski to rescue Mr. Abdullah. Upon reaching the shore, he was found unconscious, prompting immediate CPR and further emergency measures. Rescuers then transported him to Patong Hospital, where he was later sadly pronounced dead.
