Business Dispute Turns Violent on Phuket Road – VIDEO

Phuket –

Police have arrested a man following an act of violence on the streets of Wichit, where he allegedly drove his vehicle into his coworker and physically assaulted him. The suspect, identified as Natthaphon “Pa Jok Wat Thep” Sawangjang, 34, was taken into custody on Saturday (April 25th) after leading a dangerous chase that escalated into a roadside attack.

The Wichit Police told the Phuket Express that the altercation occurred at approximately 2:57 P.M. near the Chao Fah Suan Luang Road. Natthaphon allegedly pursued and crashed into the car of his coworker, Chatchai Saekhu, 46, before exiting his vehicle and attacking him. A live-stream video by the suspect captured the incident, while bystanders filmed additional footage of the violent encounter.

The dispute reportedly stemmed from work-related conflicts in the construction business. However, police investigations are ongoing to determine the full circumstances behind the attack.

Later that evening, at around 7:00 P.M., the Wichit Police apprehended Natthaphon in a wooded area in Chalong. They seized a knife, which were allegedly used in the crime. Initial questioning led the suspect to confess, citing disagreements with the victim as the motive for his aggressive behavior.

Further investigation revealed that Natthaphon had consumed methamphetamine (crystal meth) prior to carrying out the attack, raising concerns about drug abuse as a factor in his reckless actions.

The Wichit Police stressed the severity of the crime, noting that evidence from the suspect’s livestream and witness footage showcased extreme violence. He urged the public to refrain from using force to resolve disputes, stressing that such actions lead to serious legal consequences.

Natthaphon now faces six serious charges, including:

  • Premeditated assault
  • Criminal coercion
  • Illegal possession of a weapon in public
  • Destruction of property
  • Reckless and dangerous driving
  • Driving under the influence of narcotics

Authorities have warned that the inclusion of a livestream in the attack demonstrates clear intent, further strengthening the case against him.
