Phuket –
A 59-year-old man died in Rassada after he was being stabbed on a roadside in broad daylight.
Police received reports of a man lying unconscious on the road on Sunday (April 20th), prompting emergency responders to rush to the scene. The victim, later identified as Mr. Chatuachok had suffered a severe stab wound beneath his right ribcage. Despite efforts to resuscitate him, he was pronounced dead after being transferred to the local hospital.
At the scene, officers discovered two distinct bloodstains, with droplets forming a ten-meter trail, marking the spot where Mr. Chatuachok collapsed near a vacant rental property. Eyewitnesses stated to The Phuket Express that they remembered seeing him walking into the alley earlier without injuries. Moments later, he was seen running while clutching a wrench before falling to the ground.
A relative of the deceased, Mr. Nat, shared that Mr. Chatuachok had no known enemies. He lived a quiet life, often spending time at home when not visiting the local fishery pier where he worked. On the day of the incident, he had been at the pier processing fish before returning home. His family remains perplexed about the motive behind the attack.
It has been reported that a suspect has been arrested but further details on their identity or motive have not been released as of press time.
