Phuket Secured Zero Deaths in Five Days of the ‘Songkran Seven Days of Road Safety Campaign’

Phuket has announced a total of 34 road accidents and 35 injuries in five days (April 11th, 2025 to April 15th, 2025) of the seven days of the ‘Songkran Road Safety Campaign 2025′ (April 11th to April 17th).

The Phuket Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM) Office told the Phuket Express on Tuesday (April 16th) that most accidents were caused by excessive speeding and followed by drunk driving. Most road accidents involved motorcycles.

Most accidents occurred on the peek Songkran day April 15th (The third day) which were the highest number since the start of the campaign.

Phuket has announced a total of 27 road accidents and 28 injuries in four days (April 11th, 2025 to April 14th, 2025) of the seven days of the ‘Songkran Road Safety Campaign 2025′ (April 11th to April 17th).
