Phuket Secured Zero Deaths in Two Days of the ‘Songkran Seven Days Road Safety Campaign’

Phuket has announced a total of nine road accidents, ten injuries and zero deaths in two days (April 11th – April 12th) of the seven days (April 11th, 2025 to April 17th, 2024) of the ‘Songkran Road Safety Campaign 2025′.

The Phuket Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM) Office told the Phuket Express on Sunday (April 13th) the details of the second day (April 12th) of the campaign. Three road accidents were reported in the Mueang District, Thalang and Phuket with four injurie.

Most accidents were caused by excessive speeding (44%). Most road accidents involved motorcycles. Most road accidents occurred on highway roads from 6:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M..
