Jordanian Man Arrested in Thalang with 28,217 Ecstasy Pills, 3 Kilograms of Ketamine and 1 Kilogram of Cocaine

The Thalang police arrested a 42-year-old male Jordanian national, suspected of smuggling illegal drugs into Thailand. They intercepted the suspect during a routine checkpoint along Baan Yaa – Cherng Talay Road in Sri Soonthorn. Upon searching his belongings, authorities uncovered large quantities of ketamine, cocaine, and ecstasy concealed inside a shoulder bag.

The Region 8 Police told the Phuket Express. Authorities recovered a large quantity of illegal narcotics and weapons at his accommodation in Sri Soonthorn, Thalang, including:

  • 3,740.8 grams of ketamine
  • 1,138.1 grams of cocaine
  • 28,217 ecstasy pills
  • Four long-barreled firearms
  • 248 rounds of ammunition

He was taken to the Thalang Police Station. Law enforcement officials have given their commitment to combating transnational crime, stressing the dangers posed by drug-related offenses and illegal arms possession.

Authorities are now working to trace the suspect’s network and identify any potential accomplices.
