Phatthalung –

On April 2nd, a tragic accident occurred on the Hat Yai-Phatthalung route of Phetkasem Road, in Pa Bon. A minibus veered off the road, overturned, and left the driver, who was traveling alone without any passengers, dead at the scene.

The Pa Bon Police was alerted by a concerned citizen about the crash. Upon reaching the site, authorities, along with rescue volunteers, discovered a minibus from Krabi overturned on its roof by the roadside. Tragically, the body of the driver, identified as 65-year-old Mr. Piamsak Ruangsiriwutkul, was found ejected from the vehicle. Initial assessments suggest he had been deceased for over six hours before being discovered.

According to local residents, the accident likely occurred around midnight during heavy rainfall. Some reported hearing the sound of screeching brakes but failed to locate the accident due to poor visibility and heavy foliage obscuring the scene. It wasn’t until morning that the overturned minibus was spotted, prompting them to notify authorities.

Officials confirmed that Mr. Piamsak was traveling alone, and there were no passengers onboard at the time of the incident. His body was transferred to a local hospital for further examination.
