Six Chinese Nationals Arrested in Patong for Unauthorized Work

On April 1st, 2025, the Patong Police carried out a successful operation targeting unauthorized employment in the area.

Patong Police apprehended seven people: one Thai national and six Chinese nationals. The charges brought against the Thai national was being accused of employing foreign nationals without proper authorization.

Meanwhile, the six Chinese Nationals were being accused of working without valid work permits or performing work beyond the scope of their permitted rights.

The arrests took place at a construction site on the Phra Metta Road. All suspects were then handed over to investigators at the Patong Police Station for further legal proceedings.
