Phuket –

A 37-year-old Israeli national was apprehended at Phuket International Airport while attempting to flee the country. The man, identified only as Mr. David, is the primary suspect in a rape case involving a foreign woman on Koh Samui in Surat Thani. The incident allegedly occurred on Sunday March 30th, 2025.

Police, acting on a warrant issued by the Koh Samui Provincial Court for the crime of rape, worked to ensure the suspect could not evade justice. The arrest operation was carried out by a joint task force comprised of the Immigration Bureau’s Phuket branch, Region 8 Police Investigators, the Tourist Police, and officers from Sakoo Police Station. The suspect was intercepted at the airport before boarding a flight out of Thailand.
