Man Found Dead in Phuket Park Lake

Phuket –

On March 29, 2025, at approximately 3:30 A.M., local authorities in Phuket were alerted to a tragic discovery at the lake within Chalerm Phrakiat Park (Suan Luang) in Talat Nuea. A concerned citizen reported finding a body floating in the water.

Upon receiving the call, investigators promptly informed their superiors and proceeded to the scene alongside forensic specialists. At the site, the body of a man was found face-down in the lake. The rescue team from Kusoldharm Foundation retrieved the remains for examination.

The deceased was identified as a middle-aged male, estimated to be between 40 and 50 years old. He was dressed in a short-sleeved black shirt with orange and yellow patterns, black shorts, and a black leather belt. Notably, two metal dumbbells, each weighing approximately 5 kilograms, were attached to the front of his belt. A pair of black slip-on sandals was also discovered near the lake’s edge.

Preliminary findings suggested that the man had been deceased for around three days. No identification documents were found on the body, nor were there any visible injuries or signs of foul play. The exact cause of death remains unknown at this time.

Authorities have sent the body to Vachira Phuket Hospital for a detailed autopsy. Meanwhile, investigators are working to identify the deceased and are reviewing CCTV footage from the surrounding area for any clues regarding the incident. Further investigations are ongoing to uncover the circumstances leading to this puzzling case.
