Missing Man Found Dead in Cherng Talay Forest

Phuket –

On Tuesday (March 25th), a sad discovery was made by rescue teams and local authorities in the Bang Tao area. The body of a 50-year-old man, who had gone missing the day before, was found lifeless in the forest near Bang Tao Soi 7.

The incident unfolded when Mr. Chanchai, who had ventured onto Bang Tao Hill to tend to his garden, failed to return home. According to his wife, he left around noon and made a final phone call shortly after, stating that he felt exhausted and was on the verge of fainting. After that, all attempts to reach him by phone proved futile. Concerned for his safety, his wife tried to start a search on her own but later sought assistance from local rescue teams.

The rescue effort began promptly, involving various agencies including the Kusoldharm Foundation, Surin Beach rescue units, Cherng Talay Police, and Cherng Talay Subdistrict Administration Organization. By the evening, a total of 26 personnel were deployed to scour the area on foot. The search operation lasted from 6:00 PM to 9:30 PM but was delayed by heavy rainfall, forcing the team to postpone further efforts until the next morning.

Rescue teams resumed their mission at 9:00 AM the following day, ultimately leading to the discovery of the man’s body in the forested area of Bang Tao Soi 7.
