Another wanted Russian suspect was arrested at the Phuket International Airport after he was being accused of fraud.
The Phuket Airport Immigration told the Phuket Express that earlier this week they apprehended a 39-year-old Russian female suspect.
She was wanted under a Maha Sarakham Provincial Court arrest warrant for charges including public fraud, importing fake computer data likely to harm others or the public, and opening or allowing others to use their bank account or electronic card account without intent for personal use, knowing or should have known it would be used for cyber-related crimes and involved in money laundering.
The arrest took place at the international arrivals terminal in the airport. The suspect was handed over to investigators from the Maha Sarakham City Police Station for further legal proceedings. However, she did not release any statement as of press time.
