Fire Damages Temple in Rassada

Rassada –

A fire damaged a multipurpose building at a temple on a busy Road in Rassada.

Firefighters from the Rassada Municipality were notified of the fire on Wednesday (March 19th). They arrived at the temple with fire engines on the Bypass Road to find the two-story multipurpose building temporarily used for storage.

Firefighting teams were mobilized to contain the blaze. After more than 30 minutes of effort, the fire was successfully brought under control. The fire destroyed items such as audio equipment, electrical appliances, ceremonial fabrics, and general supplies, resulting in damages estimated at 250,000 Baht. This amount does not yet include structural damages to the building, which require further assessment by engineers to determine the extent of the structural damage.

The preliminary cause of the fire is suspected to be an electrical short circuit from wiring beneath the building, which ignited the blaze. No injuries were reported. Authorities will coordinate with forensic experts to investigate the exact cause of the fire.
