One Person Dies, Three Others Injured after Bridge Collapse in Narathiwat

One person has died and three people have been injured after a bridge collapsed in Cha Nae on Wednesday (March 19th).

At approximately 5:45 A.M., authorities were alerted to the collapse of the bridge, located on the Highway 4217 (Cha Nae–Si Sakhon) near Ban Ai Bu Tae, Chang Phueak. The collapse resulted in a car and a motorcycle plunging into the area below.

Mr. Aman Jehma, 27, was pronounced dead at the scene. Mr. Waesmae, 32, and Mr. Asri Yuso, 30, sustained severe injuries while Mr. Marowi, 19, also sustained various injuries.

Meanwhile, the Narathiwat Highway District has issued an announcement closing the nearby area on Highway 4271 and has opened alternative routes. Authorities are currently investigating the site to determine the cause of the collapse and are prioritizing assistance for residents who rely on this route.
