Man Arrested for Stealing Box of Beer from Convenience Store in Patong

An investigation by the Patong Police led to the arrest of a Thai male suspect who stole a box of beer and power banks from a convenience store in Patong.

The Patong Police told the Phuket Express that earlier this week a staffer from the store in question filed a report to police. At approximately 5:00 AM, a male suspect entered the convenience store on the Ratch Uthit 200 Pi Branch. He stole a box of beer and two power banks. The suspect subsequently fled the scene on a parked motorcycle.

Following the report, the investigation team tracked the suspect using the given details and CCTV footage. They finally arrested a 39-year-old Thai male suspect at an abandoned building in Soi Klong Bang Wat, on the Ratch Uthit 200 Pi Road. The seized Items were two stolen power banks. He was taken to the Patong Police Station and has been charged with night theft.
