German Man Arrested with Drugs and Guns in Rawai

A German man was arrested with illegal drugs, firearms, and ammunition in Rawai.

The Chalong Police told the Phuket Express that earlier this week they arrested a suspect identified only as Mr. Simon, 46, German national, at a house in Rawai. Seized from him were 0.5 grams of heroin, 2.4 grams of crystal methamphetamine, a 18.5-inch rifle, two pistols, and 83 bullets.

The arrest was prompted by an investigation into suspicious behavior linked to drug possession and illegal weapons within the community. Upon inspection of the suspect’s residence, law enforcement discovered undeniable evidences, leading to his immediate detention.

Mr. Simon was taken to the Chalong Police Station. He is facing charges including possession of Category 1 narcotics (heroin and crystal methamphetamine) for personal use and distribution, as well as the unauthorized possession of firearms and ammunition.
