Russian Man Injured After Apparently Being Attacked by a Group of Foreign Men in Patong

A Russian man has been injured after he was reportedly attacked by three unidentified male foreigners at a hotel in Patong.

The Patong Police told the Phuket Express that they were notified of the incident at 5:37 A.M. on Saturday (March 8th) morning. They went to the hotel, whose name was withheld, on the Ratcha Uthit 200 Pi Road. The injured party, identified only as, Mr. Alex, 44, a Russian national, had already been taken to the Patong Hospital with the assistance of hotel staff.

Witnesses at the scene of the incident, who asked to remain anonymous, told police that three unidentified male foreigners attacked Mr. Alex before speeding away. Police have not yet disclosed what led to the violence. They are tracking down the three male foreigners for further legal action.
