UPDATE: Chinese Couple Previously Arrested at Lion Café in Rassada Face Additional Charges

A Chinese couple who were previously arrested at a lion café in Rassada are facing additional charges.

Two Chinese nationals were arrested after they were found working without legal permission at a lion café in Rassada.

Now for the update:

Phuket Immigration told the Phuket Express that the two Chinese nationals who were previously found working without legal permission at a lion café in Rassada last month have denied the accusation and claimed they were not working illegally. They were on bail to fight the case, said authorities.

On Thursday (February 27th) they were arrested again at a condominium in Kathu. They were taken to the Phuket City Police Station to face additional charges of business operating related charges involving Thai nationals and illegal hiring practices. They were shareholders of the company that operating the lion cafe.

They have not as of press time released a public statement.
