A three year-old boy tragically died while ten people were injured after a passenger bus from Phuket crashed in Takua Thung.
Emergency responders were notified of the accident at 5:30 P.M. on Thursday (February 20th) on the main Phet Kasem Road (No.402) at the curve in Baan Khao Poa, Kra Som. They arrived at the scene to find the overturned pink bus on the roadside.
In total, 11 injured people were found inside the bus. They were taken to nearby hospitals. Of those, a three years-old boy had sustained severe injuries and was later tragically pronounced dead.
The Takua Thong Police told the Phuket Express that the bus was traveling from Phuket heading to Phatthalung. It was also reported that it was raining during the accident. The bus driver lost control at the curve.
The investigation is still ongoing as of press time.
