Fire Breaks Out at Kra Ting Cape in Rawai-VIDEO

A fire broke out at the Krating Cape in Rawai, Mueang Phuket on Thursday night (February 20th).

Firefighters from the Rawai Municipality were notified of the incident at 8:20 P.M.. The Phuket Forest Fire Control Station and the Royal Thai Navy were called for assistance. They arrived at the area with fire control equipment.

The fire devastated the area for a 500 meter distance. About five Rais of plots had been damaged by the fire in total. The fire was brought under control after a significant period of time and luckily no injuries were reported. The fire did not spread to nor effect nearby hotels. The Phuket Express noted that forest fires occur almost annually at this time of the year.
