Kamala –
A man was arrested after he stabbed his colleague at a hotel in Kamala.
The Kamala Police were notified of the incident at 11:20 A.M. on Tuesday (February 18th) near a hotel on the Kamala – Surin Beach Road. The name of the hotel was withheld pending further investigation by relevant authorities.
They arrived at the scene to find the suspect Mr. Thanararat, 26, from Nakhon Si Thammarat. He was waiting for the police with the security guard from the hotel.. Mr. Thanarat gave the knife used in the crime to the police. The victim, identified only as Mr. Khettawan, 27, from Nakhon Si Thammarat, had already been taken to a nearby hospital.
The suspect told police that he and the injured victim are relatives, although their exact relationship was unclear. They worked at the same hotel and on the day of the incident, they started a verbal argument before Mr. Thanarat used a knife to stab Mr. Khettawan twice in his stomach. The nature of the argument was not revealed to the The Phuket Express.
The suspect was taken to the Kamala Police Station to face charges of an assault causing injury and carrying a weapon in public without permission.
