Pakistanis Arrested in Patong For Selling Herbs Illegally

Patong– On Sunday, February 16th, Patong Police arrested two Pakistani nationals after they were found selling herbs illegally. The vendors were apprehended at a rental room on Soi Ratcha Uthit 200 Pi Road. The arrest came after they were found advertising and selling herbs using promotional papers.

The two individuals were taken to the Patong Police Station and charged with working without legal permission. Selling herbs is considered a protected occupation reserved for Thai nationals. The Phuket Express noted that the officers did not reveal the personal details of the suspects or specify the type of herbs involved.
