A Thai woman was arrested after she was found to have been allegedly operating a Muay Thai Gym without permission.
The Phuket Provincial Police told the Phuket Express that over the past weekend they inspected a Muay Thai Gym in Soi Pa Lai with a search warrant. About 40 foreign and Thai students were found learning Muay Thai in the gym.
Ms. Praepaytai, 32, a Thai national, was arrested. She identified herself as the manager of the Muay Thai company. She was taken to the Chalong Police Station to face charges of allegedly operating a non-formal education school without legal permission.
The full name of the gym was withheld by police pending a further investigation.
