Thai Man Arrested for Allegedly Illegally Operating Nursey in Pa Klok

Thalang –

A Thai man was arrested for allegedly operating a nursery without legal permission in Pa Klok.

The Phuket Provincial Police told the Phuket Express that earlier this week they inspected a nursery in Pa Klok following complaints from concerned citizens. About ten foreign kids aged around two to four years old were found. Mrs. Alina, Russian national was presented as a babysitter. She, however, had a legal work permit and visa.

Mr. Boontawee, 31, a Thai national, was presented as the nursery manager. A company document was presented to officers showing that Mrs. Alina is also reportedly a shareholder of the company. However, police said the paperwork and licenses were not complete and as a result Mr. Boontawee was taken to the Thalang Police Station to face charges of allegedly operating a nursery without legal permission.

This continues a trend of relevant officials inspecting nurseries and schools across Phuket after multiple complaints from concerned parties that these venues were not properly licensed and operating against Thai law.
