Myanmar Man Arrested for Buying a Stolen Motorbike from Other Myanmar Nationals in Patong

A Myanmar man was arrested after he bought a stolen motorbike from another Myanmar man in Patong.

The Patong Police told the Phuket Express that back on February 1st an unidentified owner of a stolen motorbike filed a report to police. The motorbike was parked on the Ratcha Patha Nusorn Road before it disappeared.

On Friday (February 7th) police found the stolen motorbike. The motorbike was being ridden by a man who was later identified as MR. HEIN SI THU in front of a house in Soi Lak Sila on the Phra Baramee Road where he was arrested.

He told police that he was waiting for someone to send the motorbike to Myanmar. He admitted to having bought the motorbike from Mr. Ye Htet and Mr. Kaung Khant Kyaw for 7,000 Baht. Those two Myanmar men were arrested previously.

Mr. HEIN SI THU was taken to the Patong Police Station to face charges of buying stolen items from a fence.
